Memorial Day Weekend

Uncle Butch got in on the fun of playing tag with the kids (even though his shoes were literally falling apart)!  Funny, they always seemed to chase him even when there were other kids to chase!

Tyler and Tucker in Butch's new grain bin . . . looks like it could be trouble :)

Tucker did not let the bigger kids get too far ahead of him . . . I'm sure he slept well after we all left!

4 of the 5 boys playing tag by the grain bin.

This picture makes it look like Daniel and Tyler were going super fast, but they really weren't.  The boys did great all playing together and being careful of each other.

Grandpa and his 5 grandsons!

David had to work part of Monday, but then we (really HE) took them fishing in the afternoon.
They caught about 10 fish between the four of them (David even got to catch one).
We threw them all back, we just fish for fun.

The water is up a little bit with all the rain we have had lately.

Isaac and Daniel were checking out the shoreline for dead fish that had
washed up and got stuck on the rocks.

Preschool Graduation and Program

Daniel and Caleb had their Preschool Promotion and Graduation Program.
This picture is of all the students from the Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes.

Daniel got to hold the flag while everyone said the Pledge of Allegiance--he was so proud!

They are singing Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah (with sign language).

Caleb received a certificate for attending Preschool.

Daniel received a "Diploma" for graduating from Preschool.
Yes, I did cry a little!

This is the 2012 graduating class from Joyful Heart Preschool.

The boys LOVE Joyful Heart and so do we!  I can't believe that next year will be our last year there!  Caleb will graduate from preschool . . . but let's not rush into that just yet!

First Night of T-Ball

Isaac and Daniel had their first night of T-Ball.  Caleb isn't on the team yet this year, but that doesn't stop him from being in the middle of everything!

Isaac concentrating on catching the next ball.

Daniel getting ready to throw to his practice partner Isaac.

Isaac getting ready to hit . . . concentrate, concentrate . . .
He told me that I couldn't shout his name when he was up to bat
because it might distract him!

Daddy helping Daniel hit . . . he's more interested in what the rest of the team is doing.

Isaac in the outfield.

Daniel's ready to catch a pop fly.

All in all it was a great night.  Kids had fun, Daddy had fun coaching and mommy visited with a couple of the other moms.

Packin Up

Isaac packed his "bike" yesterday and Caleb was in the wagon.
Today while we were waiting for Isaac to come home, Daniel and Caleb
packed the wagon too.  They said they had to "pack up, because Isaac got a job
in another country and they were going with him to the new job."  I love when they play well together!
Why can't that happen everyday?  Oh yeah, because they are normal siblings . .  . oh well!

Preschool BBQ

We hosted an End of the Year BBQ for Daniel and Caleb's Preschool.
There were about 30 people that attended and it was great to get to
know some of the other families.

The kids definitely enjoyed the swingsets!  We also had bubbles
and played human Pac-Man. (Dave mows lines into the lawn and you
basically play tag, but you have to stay in the lines.)  I just don't
have any pictures of those activities--or the food--oh well!

This is the uninvited guest that showed up at the end of the BBQ.  Of course, to small
children, he looks like a wolf.  We ended up having the police come and get him after
everyone left.  I hope they are able to find his owners, he seemed like a pretty mellow dog.

Be ready for another post in the next few days!  Tomorrow is the Preschool graduation program!

Carver Park

There is a park near us that has many, many trails.  There are hiking trails, paved biking trails, horse trails, gardens and a nature center with live and stuffed animals.  We go there several times a year to "hike" around . . . I use the term hike pretty loosely, we really just walk we are not die hard hikers.

There is a tepee being built in one area of the Nature Reserve.  The kids loved exploring it!

Sometimes Caleb is just funny!  Can't you just hear him saying "CHEEEEESE"?

This is about as good as pictures get with 3 boys in the wilderness.

Helping Dad

Sometimes Dave needs us to help him at a job site.  On this particular day we only had to deliver 4 rolls of sod and some loose dirt.  The plan was to do that in the morning while Isaac was at school so the other 2 boys and I could take the work truck to make the delivery.  However, it POURED in the morning, so we needed to make the delivery in the afternoon.  Therefore it had to go in the car in order for there to be room for all the carseats.  I tell you, not everyone puts rolls of sod and loose dirt in their car (which was brand new when we purchased it at the end of February)!  Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do!  Now I really need to clean the inside of the car though.

The boys also enjoy helping around the yard at our place.

Sprinkler fun in May

So, I realize that it has been almost a whole month since I blogged . . . I don't really have a good excuse, but I'll try to make up for it now!

Who would think that on May 2 (in Minnesota) you could play in the sprinkler?

Caleb wasn't as excited about the sprinkler, he stayed up by the house and used the small sprinkler.
